A Sunday of ‘Brigadoon’ and book signings Aug 30, 2009

Well, I’ve been watching the Sunday morning political shows which are mainly about Senator Ted Kennedy and his passing last week, yet soon I shall motor into the city to attend a matinee of Brigadoon, a nostalgic favorite of my childhood about a mysterious Scottish village that’s only visible for one day every 100 years.

Maybe we can devise a way for Washington DC’s Capitol Hill to sign up for that schedule…we’d all be safer and richer, I suspect.

Then it’s a dash to a town celebration in Winterville, GA which is being held for my niece, Donny Bailey Seagraves, whose first novel Gone From These Woods is released this very weekend.

So it should be a fun, if rainy and thundery, day!
